Anatoliy & Ukraine

Years ago, a friend challenged me to expand the ministry of teaching God’s people God’s way of handling money beyond America. He asked me one penetrating question: “Is there any follower of Christ anywhere that shouldn’t know what the Bible says about money?”

The obvious answer was, “Of course, not!”

The Bible contains 2,350 verses dealing with money and possessions. These financial truths are applicable to every generation and every culture. They apply to sophisticated economies like ours, as well as to very simple economies often found in the developing world. After all, when the Bible was penned, most economies were very basic.

It’s clear that teaching these principles is on God’s heart. He alone has brought Compass world-class, godly Continent Directors for South America, North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and India (we treat India as a continent since one out of six people on the planet live there).

Today, Compass serves 48 countries. Some of our country leaders courageously serve in places that are hostile toward Christ. At this time, one in particular needs our prayers!

Anatoliy lives in Kiev, and he’s had a massive impact serving the Ukraine and the Russian speaking world. He was an English teacher and is fluent in Ukrainian,Russian and English.

Anatoliy is married with two young children. When Russia invaded Ukraine, he was afraid for the safety of his family. He recently told me that he stopped praying for safety; rather, for the Lord to continue to create unrest until revival started! He is risking everything for the cause of Christ.

Will you join me in praying for many to come to know Christ in Ukraine, and for our Heavenly Father to protect Anatoliy and his family? May we have a similar courage to share Christ with those in our country.

Warmly in Christ,
Howard Dayton
